The JDK is a development environment for building applications, applets, and components using the Java programming language. Android studio requires jdk 1. 8 I can't put together a new default project for Android 2.1 because(?) JDK used by Android Studio is JDK 1.7 but it should be JDK 1.6. To change it I go to the file -> Project and try to find the location JDK 1.6.
